Forecasting
Processes known to be complex typically have a high degree of uncertainty: How they are going to develop is unpredictable and that in itself asks for measures to be taken.
In practice we often get many questions regarding for example:
- Forecasting demand as related to ordersize, stock levels and/or purchase lead times
- Price risk, Currency risk, Premium risk, Stockrisk or Fiscal risk
- Contract position, Currency positions, stock positions, Innovation positions
- Mark-to-market calculations and result estimates
Depending on your industtry and the nature of your organisation such questions may be more or less applicable, or different considerations may need to be taken into account. We also see very big differences in approach for different companies within the same industry, for example resulting from very different net margins on otherwise similar products, or a bigger or smaller product homogenety compared to industry peers.
In case such issues are bothering you too, we can help you provide a fitting answer. This will enable you to look ahead more or simply quantify risks or at least take them knowingly.
